I was initially skeptical of the care home model, but after some of the most expensive facilities in the area, with good (advertised) nurse to patient ratios, we realized the nursing ratios were 1. not accurate and 2. not what my elderly parent needed. Care with eating, attention for immediate bathroom visits, companionship, dressing, hair and nail care... She's not in a room among many rooms. She's one of 4 people who have constant care in a very nice setting with almost a 1 to 1 ratio of caretakers. From day one they've been charming and thorough. Very satisfied.
